★★★ NEW INDIE NIGHT!* ★★★

Cut to the Chase has enjoyed a metamorphosis over the Easter period, much like an ugly caterpillar shrowding itself in a chrysalis to emerge later as a beautiful butterfly. Well kind of, all we did is decide to open earlier and have some bands on. It’s a simple masterstroke that we think you’re going to love!

Its still Tuesdays, For the same old entry price of £3 you will now be treated to two hours of live music between 10pm and Midnight before dancing the night away afterwards to a mixture of modern & classic Indie Rock & Roll.

★★★ THE BANDS ★★★

RIOTBOX

Riotbox formed as a band in late 2008. Daryl and Jimmy played together originally, with Josh and Matt joining later. The guys are a perfect eclectic mix writing and playing exclusively for the reward of a satisfied and returning audience. The music is adventurous in that its description of Mudhoney meets Whitestripes conjures up what might be described as a messy punky sound. Jimmy's vocals demonstrate a Jack White edginess supported by infectious melodies and spiky guitar solos, swaggering self assurance and endearing honesty with a sound just like an up and coming underground sensation should have.

THE HARRINGTONS

The Harringtons are a Progressive Indie Band from Barnsley who formed at the beginning of February 2008. Starting out writing their own "Happy Indie" style songs, they have gradually built their way up to a more bigger progressive pound. These four young lads barely in their twenty's have been together for just two years, and have built up a large fanbase and interest in this short time, with no signs of slowing down.

FALLEN TREES

Fallen Trees is/are a project of Paul Littlewood's. Supported by his coarse but resonant voice, Littlewood creates finely spun acoustic pieces flooded with depth and despair, often echoing the dark side of the eighties.

Fallen Trees debut album has been completed and mastered at Abbey Road by Adam Nunn.
