Fantasy Island cash machines now charge

Recommended Posts

While you may be right you don't run fanny island. If you go to pubs, shops, casino's and nightclubs they charge to withdraw cash all FI are doing is what everyone else is doing

None of the shops I go in charge. None of the pubs I go in have cash machines. Dunno about the others.

What you are saying is that fantasy island charge people solely to make more money than they are already swindling people out of with the extortionate cost of going on the amusements. I agree with you.

Excellent! Why are you surprised by it though?

OP,why are you surprised that a company that provides a service wants paying for it..?

Nothing is free. According to Heinlein, TANSTAAFL.

Put 5p on each ride, 5p on each ice-cream, 5p on each hot-dog or burger, 5p on everything else you sell but offer free parking, offer ATMs at 'no charge' (and make a point of telling people that they're getting things for free) and you will persuade the punters that you are offering them a very good deal - which will probably bring them back again next time.

If, on the other hand, you reduce the charge for everything to the absolute minimum and make damned sure that the punters pay for everything they get, you are going to dissuade many of them.

It's not what you say or do, it's how you say or do it.

F'rinstance: Were you a male and were you to say to your partner: "Darling, when I look upon your face, the hands of time stand still" then she (or he) might think "What's he up to? - What's he been drinking?"

But you probably wouldn't get into a great deal of trouble.

Try saying: (And these words mean almost exactly the same thing, if you think about it)

"You've got a face which would stop a clock!"

and see what happens.

We dont seem to have any say in the way our wages are paid. These days they have to be paid into a bank account. This is just another way to rip you off.

Bring back the pay packet, then we wouldnt have to rely on this service.

Just to add also,

like a previous poster said, you are drawing money from these cash machines to spend in the resort, on their goods and services, in the local shops etc etc. Start taking the mick, and it wont be long before people choose to spend their money elsewhere....me included!

It would make life much easier for muggers, too! - Why should they be inconvenienced?

I suppose you could choose to bank with a company which has plenty of ATMs or which is prepared to refund the cost other banks charge.
