Tony
Today we see the release of the Labour manifesto. Soon the others will follow. Do you believe a word?
Rupert_Baehr
Well, I believe the bits about: "And then, we will require the tooth fairy to leave a tenner for every tooth." "The Easter Bunny will be allowed only to leave solid eggs" "Father Christmas will be required to leave a copy of all original wish lists, so that the recipients can be sure they are getting everything they asked for are entitled to." Some of the other promises may be a little far-fetched, however.
Vague_Boy
I'm still waiting for the vote on the Treaty of Lisbon I was promised by Tony "Warbucks" Blair in 2005. I fear I may be waiting in vain.
sheffield_uk
they say they will do anything just before an election....usually dont.
Bloomdido
Hype and spin. It's all market tested and sanitised but can still go catastrophically wrong. I am so looking forward to this election.
Greybeard
It's all pie in the sky. The reality will be humble pie and the markets or the IMF will force them to eat it.
medusa
In a word, no. Wall to wall finger pointing and point scoring, with an almost total absence of proof that they can deliver what they are promising. Anyone can promise to cut crime but cutting crime just by saying you're going to do it is about as easy as it is to get fit just by joining a gym!
