I know I'm below the line thing for the 2009 tax year, and I'm pretty sure I qualify as a "resident but not ordinarily resident" (which means I pay tax here on money earned here and not in Canada, where I am still technically also a resident). Ultimately what I'm after is where is the nearest tax office in city center? Or if anyone knows how the system works exactly, that'd be great as well. taxman Posted April 13, 2010 Share Posted April 13, 2010 The local tax office is 5 Young st, S1 4LB. At the bottom of The Moor, opposite Wicks. Best to ring and make an appointment if you want to talk to a human being otherwise they direct you to a phone to ring a call centre or to a computer to look at HMRC's web pages.
