Perversion and deviance are 'normalised' lest perverts and deviants feel persecuted, one cannot reasonably maintain vigilance against normality, hence the deviants and the perverts victimize the children. I do not reside below a bridge, I am not in the least troubled, being neither deviant nor pervert. I haven't claimed that private consensual adult perversion is the same thing as paedophile activity, you seem a tad defensive!. The point is that when the public are constantly made to feel 'wrong' for disapproving of certain types of behaviour until they finally accept it lines blur, people fear to criticize and the rest is tragic history. The Vatican's own specialist upon paedophile priests is on record as early as 1952 warning that paedophile priests should be thrown out the church not left "on duty or wandering from diocese to diocese" he was sadly ignored by the Vatican which went on to facilitate the rape of children for decades. Do you think the Vatican in 1952 was under the sway of political correctness? You know the same Vatican which even today describes homosexuality as "evil". The recent major Irish Government report into abuse of children in the care of the Catholic Church dealt with cases from as early as 1914. Are you really trying to argue that Catholic Orphanages in Ireland in 1914 were influenced by political correctness in the slightest? Far from being an "inevitable consequence of PC" the Catholic Church's facilitation of the rape of children precedes PC and is the work of one of the major originations in the opposed to "PC". In fact it is in a large part because of the victories of "the PC brigade" in weakening the power of the Catholic Church that it is no longer able to silence victims and completely muzzle the authorities. "The Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse" in Ireland took evidence on abuse from as early as 1914.
