Mrs Arbuthnot is surprisingly agitated to hear that her son has been offered a prestigious appointment as Lord Illingworth's secretary. The reason is an old and painful secret which she may be forced to reveal.

 

Wilde's customary wit pervades this charming satire, and the issues explored remain relevant today.

Directed by Ruth Deller, who starred in Midland Players recent production, The Children's Hour.
