I don't see what's so unusual about that, what's really unusual is that you as the resident leftist don't agree and moreover you would seek to stifle anyone who has opposing views it seems. Whistleblower legislation in particular is a farce and provides very little protection. I don't however agree that people should be free to cause offence or incite violence with impunity. That is utter rubbish. Freedom of Speech is one of a number of rights and one that often conflicts with other rights. What is needed is a fair balance between the rights that respect the interests of society to free debate and respects the rights of individuals and groups not to be lied about and to have violence or discrimination incited against.
