Isn't it time that the EU stepped in over the French rail strike?

Perhaps in that case we should be asking why the EU should be bailing out the Greek economy when it is purely an internal affair.

As has been seen with strikes by people like the rail unions and BA staff in this country, unions are happy to cause the maximum inconvenience to innocent members of the public and cause damage to the country's economy in order to further their aims.

 

Hopefully one day politicians will wake up and act to stop this madness. Thatcher stood up to the miners. If we have to be part of Europe, we need Europe to appoint leaders with a backbone to do the same.

this also applies to goverments damaging the economy in the things they do .if the unions cause a little inconvenience its not the end of the earth isit ? dont you think the politicians have enough power and you wanting to give them even more ?they allready dictating how you live and your standing for it they should just have enough power to run the country and not have the power to spy on you from you waking up to going to sleep

Our politicians are elected or appointed to represent the interests of the entire population. I find it wrong that a few folk with an ability to stop a transport network have the power to disrupt peoples lives.

 

One day the population will wake up and there will be a backlash.
