altus Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 There are standard rules for compensation for delayed flights that airlines in Europe must pay. Brief details care of the Beeb. It could be argued that this was unexpected and is unfair but Ryan Air signed up to this, as all the other airlines did, and they are legally obliged to pay compensation. Treatment Posted April 21, 2010 Share Posted April 21, 2010 I assume he means costs of hotels etc - which airlines are not required to pay for - if it is a package holiday then the company that sold it you are obliged to pay for any extra accommodation etc. The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.
