jamiemini Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Im off to Egypt in about 4weeks time, HOPEFULLY! just wondering, when you get out there, in Sharm is there any tour operators offering trips? sheffield_uk Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Sharm is in sinai and if u want to go to the main parts of Egypt u will have about 700 mile journey each way...its a long drive.. you can get trips to anywhere from Sharm and u can haggle... u can even do a day trip to Eilat in Israel or the ruins at Petra in Jordan... You will need an egyption visa too if you are planning on leaving Sinai to visit Egypt( about £15 when u land)....you dont need one though for visiting sinai only.. weenireeni Posted April 23, 2010 Share Posted April 23, 2010 Hi jamiemini i went to sharm last year and as soon as you go into the centre, where all the outdoor restaurants and bars are, you will see 100s of tour operators, shop around and be prepared to haggle! we did a day trip to cairo - picked up at 1am and returned the same time next day - its very tiring and long day but worth while, and a lot cheaper than flying there!
