SnailyBoy
How many times ive heard that were living longer and this is causing financial problems yet on the other hand were told how bad just being near a smoking person can be.What a load of balony! You know what, i don't think its as simple as that. there maybe one or two other factors involved, just maybe. There is NO proof that pasive smoking does any harm to anyone infact independant [/b]tests have showed the opposite.[/b] Lets see it then
chorba
Some smokers have no consideration whatsoever for others.

One-third of those killed are children, often exposed to smoke at home, the World Health Organization (WHO) found. The study, in 192 countries, found that passive smoking is particularly dangerous for children, said to be at higher risk of sudden infant death syndrome, pneumonia and asthma. Passive smoking causes heart disease, respiratory illness and lung cancer.

Uptowngirl
I'm told they can nick you if found eating at the wheel. Obviously they can. You need to take both hands off the wheel to use a knife and fork.
marywatsonn
If you smoke in front of your kids, you increase the chance of getting them addicted, too. They assume smoking as casual and normal activity. They will follow your example. So think again, before you light a cigarette, will you allow them to smoke? How is that independant? It doesnt say how long, where or who, nothing of detail at all,it looks like the normal Labour induced brainwashing that gives no facts of testing just an intention to lead the sheep. And "said therewere limitations to the study, including uncertainties about the underlying health data and gaps in the data !
Guest
...There is NO proof that pasive smoking does any harm to anyone... On what basis have you come to that conclusion? ...infact independant tests have showed the opposite. References, please.
purdy
Perhaps the onus is on the paediatrician to show and prove what damage it does first and not use anecdotal evidence as to it harm. As pointed out, exhaust fumes can be far more dangerous and that data has been proven. As far as I know the law also states that the exhaust of a car must exit outside the vehicle and not inside it.
