Free Improvisation night.

Recommended Posts

For anyone who enjoys listening to, and playing, free improvised music, a new night has started at the Riverside Café. It is called the "Noise Upstairs", it's completely free to enter (and exit), and it takes place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month.

The Noise Upstairs is a free improvisation jam night which has been running successfully in Manchester for the past three years. The basic premise is that anyone can turn up with any instrument and join in by putting their name in a hat. Names are pulled out, ensembles formed, and hearts broken...

And if that wasn't exciting enough, each month there are featured artists who will play a set and then will also put their names into the hat.

So, here are the details...

WHAT? The NOISE UPSTAIRS - a night of uncomposed sound

WHERE? Upstairs at the RIVERSIDE CAFE, 1 Mowbray St, Neepsend, Sheffield, S3 8EN

WHEN? 2nd Wednesday of every month, starting at 8.30pm

WHO? We are very privileged to have Mick Beck & Yvonna Magda as our guest artists on May 12th

WHY? Because we don't know any better

Hope to see you there!
