Justin Smith
I have to say I can see many similarities to the 1992 general election and this one. We had an unpopular (Tory) government and the (Labour) opposition were expected to win. But many people were rather frightened about the opposition and what they might do. Right up to the close of polls a Labour win was expected. I was getting up early the following morning so couldn`t stay up to hear the results, but when I awoke the following morning the Tories had won.... I`m not saying it will happen but there are many parallels. I know people who haven`t voted Labour for ages, if ever, but work in the public sector, or are related to someone who does, and are thinking of doing so this time. I also think the more the papers try to lay into Brown, the more some people, including myself, are thinking of voting for him. That peaked for me when that women complained about getting a hand written note about the death of her son. I thought that whole thing was absolutely pathetic and was when I started changing my mind..
GordonBennet
The similarity to 1992 is that there's going to be a general election this year. Other than that there's no connection at all.
