medusa
We were supposed to do it, but we never had any wallpaper hanging about for us to use, so mine usually ended up covered in glued down fabric instead. The teachers didn't like it much, but it did the job and we always had loads of spare bits of fabric hanging about as my mum did lots of work as a seamstress. Ousetunes
In pre-Typex days, you could get high sniffing the front of your maths books due to the chemicals in the wallpaper! Hated covering mine.

JenC
We were supposed to back our books with wallpaper/wrapping paper, but most of us opted for covering them with pictures from magazines instead.
utah
I remember backing my maths book with a picture of Jack Lord of Hawaii-5-O, I never liked maths or him and spent every lesson doodling boils on his face
Daven
That woodchip was an absolute bugger to bend and the Sellotape would never stay stuck down. The prepasted vinyl wallpaper was a problem too !
Daven
I remember backing my RE book with a very strange wallpaper with pictures of Martians on it ! I was told to remove it by the teacher - he said that it was 'inappropriate' ! I genuinely didn't understand why.
