rubydazzler
this may sound a bit of a weird name but i like it...joaquin,my daughter hates it..it is unusual and would probably get called jo for short. How are you saying that? I've seen it written but never heard it said. I've said it in my head as "Joa-kin" which is surely totally wrong, quite amusing but probably not quite producing the desired effect A member on here has the user name Xafier, pronounced Z-fire, which I think is really unusual, and although he made it up, it's not at all chavvy, imo. Waltheof
Wouldn't it be good to bring back some of the Anglo-Saxon names that went out after the Norman conquest? My own nom-de-plume, for a start (he was the local boy after all), and all those starting with Athel (meaning "noble"), such as Athelwulf, Athelwold, Athelred. Plenty more to choose from... SiSiSi
Bear in mind that if the name has an unusual spelling the kid will spend his life correcting people that mis-spell it.
