Cyclone
people will take advantage of people for whatever anyway, but im sure the age 16 means to watch rather than take part? less chance of taking advantage? dont you think it is strange tho how you can have sex, but cant watch it? surely the having is more real and tangible than watching? It's worse than that. You can have sex, film yourself and thus become a criminal... You could have to do 5 years inside and be put on the sex offenders register for having a film of yourself having consensual sex.
[Matt]
no like banning drugs, refusing to talk about the subject even tho they NEVER will win and as a side effect create a massive criminal subculture and also making the drugs dodgier sounds like a great plan to me Awsums!! lets do that!!! matsalleh
I can't see the problem as on another thread people are moaning that children can't vote. So why not go the whole hog and remove all age restrictions. Then of course people will be moaning that the government(if we have one) are doing nothing. I have just realised that no one has asked for a link to this story. So is there one ? Or is this in tandem with Nick Clegg the darling of the young thread? If you have another look at the opening post you will see that I have asked for confirmation of this story I cant believe that with all the people on here that no one knows whether the Lib Dem policy actually does include this claim. Maybe it does and no one wants to admit it, rather keep it quiet, like the Lib Dems seem to be doing.
cgksheff
If you have another look at the opening post you will see that I have asked for confirmation of this story .... Their manifesto and current policy contain no such reference. This harks back to a 2004 conference vote that supported lowering the age for access to pornography to 16. How that translated into participation in pornography, I am not sure. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/3554283.stm
tonkatoy
I have read about this but cant actually find it in their policies, is this actually true ? So what you mean is that you have started a thread that is likely to be utter tosh, and for all you know the other parties might want to bring the age down to 8?:loopy::loopy::loopy::l
