Tipex
So that country is to become the first to ban the burka, and it looks like France and others are going to follow suit,is it too much to hope that this country does the same? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/2954404/Belgium-first-to-ban-the-burka.html So? its belgium rules, get over it. If they're not happy with it then move on.
harvey19
Whilst in Tangiers we were told there was no religious reason for a woman to wear a burka only to cover their hair. It was jealous husbands who insisted on them covering their faces. This legislation could benefit women.

A.B.Yaffle
Why this obsession with burkas? Surely it would be better to ban teenage boys from wearing hoods on their heads and scarves pulled up over their faces? I think many people find them much more threatening than old women walking around wearing burkas.

Photofit Ed
It is good that the Belgian government has banned this symbol of repression of women. It is their country after all. It is a pity that the UK government lacks the backbone to make such a decision, hopefully someday it will.
Harleyman
30 women in the whole of Belgium wear the burka according to the BBC. Sledgehammer meet nut. It's whats called nipping it in the bud before it all gets out of hand.
