World government or sovereign countries?

Recommended Posts

Do we want to live in a truly globalised world that the ruling elite have created? a world where companies can set up businesses anywhere in the world where the labour is cheepest? a world where, if a company within the EU for instance finds that the native people wont work for them, the company can quite simply get people in from elswhere in the EU to do the work instead?... if so, What are the ruling elite messing about for?

Instead of keeping up the pretence that it is a world of sovereign nations, with fangled ideas of people in these sovereign nations paying their taxes to fund their public services and welfare systems for the people in their respective countries to use... why dont the ruling elite just go whole hog and officialy dissolve all the nations of the world and have some sort of world government that all the people of the world pay taxes into?...that way, people can rightfully travel around the world and use public services anywhere in the world.

There isn't one. We live on a planet and must work together, but we don't have a 'Brave New World'. Quit being a victim.

Glad to see that it's the work of companies and not immigration policy. Thank you for defeating the BNP policy on this which you espouse.

Because there is no 'ruling elite', your question is ludicrous.

The ruling elite?

Are you referring to Coca-Cola and MacDonalds by any chance?

Or are you harbouring some other global conspiracy theory?

Maybe you should just keep taking the tablets. They do help you know - as long as you don't miss taking them because you think you're no longer paranoid. :|

Multinationals do all these things now anyway. Why would they want a world Government that might get in their way with pesky enforceable rules that they will have to devote more time finding work arounds to?

National Governments have to dance to the tune of the financial institutions likes of Fitch and Standard and Coors, despite their policies having got us in such a deep crisis. The illusion of National Governments and the UN having control works perfectly well for their objectives of making money through exploitation anyway.

Of course there is no organised "ruling elite".

But there are a lot of shared interests between the very rich, and corporations that can create a powerful political influence towards actions like deregulation based on their (and therefore not our) best interests.

I agree. Media magnates in particular fall into this. It has bugger all to do with sovereign states though.
