Plug
STANTON WARRIORS + SHY CHILD (LIVE) http://www.stantonwarriors.com/ http://www.myspace.com/stantonwarriors http://www.myspace.com/shychildmusic Saturday 8th May Tickets £5 adv Shuffle, Plug The second Saturday in May sees Shuffle once again in the more than capable hands of the mighty STANTON WARRIORS for another Stanton Sessions night. The last one back in November was a cracker of a night, make sure you check this one if you missed it. Joining the Warriors will be a live set from SHY CHILD. The Stantons are a not only an amazing DJ duo who blend together breaks, 4/4 beats, live layered samples, effects and more, but also an award winning production and remix duo too - Mark & Dom truly are club superstars. With their eclectic past drawing on underground house, hip hop, electro and funk, the guys have mixed up the old and the new and come out with something bigger than the sum of its parts, namely the Stanton sound… they’ve gone on to perfect a very distinct sound that carves up dance floors through four corners of the world sounding fresh and bringing something new to the party every time. Joining them on the night live on stage will be SHY CHILD. The two-piece from New York City produce a wonderful blend of disco tinged electro. Sounding at times like LCD Soundsystem crossed with The Rapture and Cut Copy they’ve been setting the dance scene on fire since they formed back in 2000. Consisting of Pete Cafarella on vocals / keytar and Nate Smith on drums the duo’s live shows are full of passion and energy and will definitely have the dancefloor jumping. Check out the classic Noise Won’t Stop for a glimpse into the musical magic they make. This will be a night to remember for sure. http://www.the-plug.com/events-and-tickets/shuffle/shuffle-presents-stanton-warriors
