The exit poll looked so wrong at the beginning of the night, but yes I think you're right. It turns out not many people did actually agree with Nick after all I was fairly confident of the exit poll, having been employed in the business of electoral opinion polls before in fact I was employed by the company that got commission this time for the exit poll, we generally got them roughly right, and sometimes bang on, except 1992 that is, but that was the exception rather than the rule.
