Griffin, Terrablanche,- your boys have taken one hell of a beating!

How many of you die hard socialists know that Margaret Hodge has a personal fortune of around 50 million?

More to the point how many constituents of Barking didn't know it (given that it was a central plank of the BNP campaign there), but continued to express an emphatic preference for Hodge over Griffin. Just helps to emphasise what people think of him and his party.

Probably as many of the 'white, working class' who know Griffin is a public school educated millionaire himself.

It was BNP vs the whole "system", the Labour machine and all the various "right on" organisations(Searchlight, Hope Not Hate, UAF, SWP, Billy Bragg - even Frank Warren!! etc) converged on Barking and Dagenham to defeat the BNP.

If only dogs could vote :D

A dogs life with Margaret Hodge

Near me was a council housing estate where, in contravention of the tenancy agreement between tenant and council, a 13-year- old girl owned a little dog named Scruffy.

This shocking fact came to the notice of the housing committee and the family were given the option of evicting the dog or being themselves evicted.

After a certain amount of argy-bargying there was no option but to have the unfortunate dog put down. Once the deed was done the council demanded to see a certificate as proof that Scruffy really had departed this life and was not simply hiding under his owner's bed. On it the vet wrote: 'Most regrettable.'

AND that night a 13-yearold girl cried herself to sleep - all unknowing that her best interests were being looked after by a future Labour Government's future Minister for Children.

But the bossy-booted Mrs Watson - the even more bossybooted Mrs Hodge as she now is - was not finished yet. For the benefit of other subversive dog-owners she put out a statement which for sheer vindictiveness and callousness ought to be in some anthology of invective and abuse: 'We hope to persuade the tenants to get rid of the dogs first.

If they don't, we will evict them and rehouse them in houses we usually use for homeless people.

If they co- operate we will try and get them re-housed before the bailiffs come.

'If they want to be dragged out screaming, it's up to them.' Thus the future Minister for Children.

He's going!

http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard/article-23837582-nick-griffin-announces-intention-to-step-down-as-bnp-leader.do

The far-right MEP, who was soundly defeated in his attempt to become an MP on a disastrous general election night for the party, said he would go by the end of 2013.

He told a post-poll strategy meeting that the timing was to allow him to complete work on the party's administrative and political machine before handing over to a younger successor with less "baggage" and concentrating on being re-elected to the European Parliament in 2014.

But the move is bound to be seen as an attempt to forestall any leadership challenge in the the wake of the poor showing.

Mr Griffin was beaten into third place, 18,000 votes behind Labour, in Barking, where the party also lost all of its 12 sears in local council elections.

Nationwide, the party failed to win a single Commons seat despite fielding more than 300 candidates and could only increase its overall vote by 1.83 per cent to 514,819. Its number of council seats was more than halved to 19, with 27 of the 29 up for re-election on May 6 losing their places.

Because the vast majority of people dont like them or what they stand for so show their disapproval. Islam4UK suffered a similar approval rating, and they were unceremoniously dispatched!

He has given the party 3 years to find someone in the party that will brush up and has no embarrassing convictions and baggage, and that will have been a member for 5 years to be eligible... and according to the reports younger than him. Something any other party would find more than generous but out of the BNPs membership this could be like hunting a needle in a haystack. :D

The mail runs with an interesting headline. "BNP leader Nick Griffin tries to head off leadership challenge with pledge to quit in 2013"

This could simply be a cunning plan to head off an immediate threat and he has no intention of handing over the reins in the future.

Or perhaps like Le Pen he is thinking of handing the party over to his daughter? he can then keep his greedy mits in the till and direct the party from behind the scenes.
