Britain taxpayers ordered to bail out the Euro

Recommended Posts

Yes, there 's no reason why we shouldn 't bail Europe out, or any Third World Country. After all, we 're rolling in money, and we can rest assured that any money sent to Greece, or the Third World, will be very wisely spent, won 't it ??

We're currently in our own major mess...

We're in no state to help out others.

Not that that would stop ME in the real world, but you know what I mean...

that may be true, but there may not be much of an alternative.

fears about the greek debt is spreading to fears about other eurozone countries debts and will probably spread to fears about our debt. fears about debt spreads to the banks because they are the people who lent the money and possibly aren't going to get it all back. worries about the banks stabilities is what started all of this two years ago.

who knew that globalisation would be so much fun :)

Article 122 of the Lisbon Treaty means we will be out voted. We seen it coming and there is nothing we can do - the 16 members of the Euro zone comprise a majority. It's a done deal. Overnight (i.e. by tomorrow) we will have become exposed to and liable for billions of pounds of Euro zone sovereign debt. 8.6bn Euro for every 100bn Euro is our liability - approx 70bn Euro.

You need to realize that Germany is the true culprit of the Euroclub farce as lots of us always suspected. Now they are having to bale out the first of the lame ducks, the average Germans are in revolt just like when Hitler stole a march. The euro is basically a Germanic currency and thank God we did not get trapped within it.Brown@co whilst having shed our gold reserves,at least has resisted the Euro currency unlike the the tragic Greeks! who like the Irish and a few more ,thought it was pennies from heaven!

So you think Germany is responsible for the Greeks, and others, being financially irresponsible and borrowing too much? :loopy:

It really doesn't matter whether we are in the Euro or not. It doesn't matter what Darling says either. We are a net contributor to the EU budget, and far more so since Brown gave away Thatcher's rebate. That money will be funneled into the weakest economies to prop them up leaving less cash for the purposes for which it was intended. Our contributions to the EU will no doubt be increasing as we are asked to top up the funds of a club we never actually voted to join.

Article 122 of the Lisbon Treaty[/url]

Would that be the same Lisbon Treaty that we were promised a referendum on in the 2005 General Election, a referendum we never got as it was railroaded through anyway, with the acquiescence of the so-called "opposition", The Boy David and his crew (probably didn't want to take a chance on us voting the "wrong" way, like the Irish did the first time).

Lets put it this way! Because Germany would like to be top dog in the Euroclub/Commune,and to garner millions of members, they have paved the way for corrupt nation leaders to fudge accounting figures to gain entrance to the bogus club, now it's come back to bite the Germans in the ass!..........got a great deal of respect for the Germans, but they have a fatal flaw!...they want to always be top dog!

the treaty has been accepted by all member states and so is now active and running, there was no point in cameron holding a referendum as we cant unsign it
