ging viking
Hi i am after adding to my info on the lost hamlet of cannonthorpe which is reported to of being in treeton woods on hail mary hill. There was a cell or a chapel called nostell priory around the 12th century on the hill near the hamlet of cannonthorpe. If anyone can give me any info on this it would be much appreciated, i have info from the treeton web page but i am looking to add to this. spots1
Further to your enquiries on the new estate that has been built on the old pit site in Treeton some of the roads are called Cannonthorpe after the history that surrounds Treeton...
