megalithic
Wow, i never considered this, i've just offered myself to my lads school to help them out with the DOE course as i'm quite experienced in the hills, i've nothing to worry about on the criminal record front but it all sounds a little daunting, i never realised offering to pass on my experience was such a battlefield and would take so long to get the crb done. Crazy but ultimately necessary i suppose. Not having read the whole thread would i have to pay for the check. ?

DaFoot
Not having read the whole thread would i have to pay for the check. ? Unlikely. The organisation would normally pay the fee if it's a volunteer thing like this.

Terry Bull
Whats the difference between a standard crb check and a enhanced crb check? I received a letter and a form from my employer stating that I was now required to be crb checked, I didn't fill it in as I got it just before christmas and forgot about it, I then received another letter mid january saying I didn't need a crb check and to return the form. Cyclone
eCRB would include allegations as well as charges and convictions.
Darth Vader
eCRB would include allegations as well as charges and convictions. Does it really? I never knew this. So, if you've been falsely accused of something it can be viewed by perspective employers? If so, that's disgusting.
cgksheff
eCRB would include allegations as well as charges and convictions. "could" may be a better word than "would". The theory is that it should include any information held by the police that may be relevant to the post involved. It should also check any specific 'barred' lists. The non-conviction information that is kept on record can vary. Some forces have been having clear-outs after, say 5 years.
