Moving swiftly onwards from May's triumphant throwdown courtesy of Scratcha DVA and Martin Kemp, Rough Disko winds up term-time activities for Spring 2010 with another lineup that's pure super-strength for your ears.

As part of London's white-hot Night Slugs crew (alongside the likes of Bok Bok, L-Vis 1990, Mosca, Kingdom and Jam City), 23-year old Greena finds himself at the centre of one of dance music's biggest hype-storms of the last 12 months. Rocking a distinctive style that fuses elements of garage, grime, and dubstep with UK funky's polyrhythms and a straight-up rave sensibility, Night Slugs' parties and releases have been getting justifiably salivated over by DJs, press and bloggers alike.

At the back end of last year Greena's debut "Tenzado / Actual Pain" 12" dropped on Apple Pips, prompting Boomkat to rant about his "proper sub-bass dynamics, exotic synth stabs and sound-system flares exciting the dance to boiling point". As a DJ, he uses the Slugs sound as a starting place, splicing it with techno, ghetto house and R'n'B for a truly fierce and floor-ready blend. FACT reckon “his sets are a whole other beast; whether cutting and looping live in Ableton or bashing out vinyl, there are very few DJs in the UK as thrilling as him…. expect to be telling your friends about this guy come Monday morning” – if you'd like a sample just check his ace recent XLR8R podcast. With remixes of Noob & Brodinski, Mosca and L-Vis also under his belt and further destroyers in the pipeline for later in 2010, Greena is a man guaranteed to light the Harley's ass on fire!

Promising to give the bass-bins an equally testing workout ahead of Greena are Monkey Steak aka Hanuman and Atki2. Architects of two of Werk Discs' notorious "Grim Dubs" series back in 2005, as well as the first release on Bristol's Punch Drunk, the duo are now helming the Steak House blog and label. Following a split release from Mr Gasparov and Portugal's Octa Push, they unleashed Monkey Steak's "Hyped Up" earlier this year, packing four carnival flavoured bangers including the mighty "Tigris Riddim" as featured on Toddla T's FabricLive mix CD. Also responsible for January's house smash "Tigerflower / Bola" on Idle Hands, Monkey Steak are past masters of genre-smashing, low-end carnage. There's no excuse not to get down early.

As per usual, the RD rezzies will be running around looking stressed during the first couple of hours. Luckily we'll also be finding time to unfurl some choice house, techno, cumbia and tropical flavours to get the venue simmering.
