Remaking a party - what will be the point of Labour?

Recommended Posts

As for labour, im tempted to take the stance of Hesseltine...as in "who cares" but in saying that, maybe we (conservatives) should care. We want our party to succeed, but it helps to have an opposition party who gives as good as they get.

I think i would prefere either of the millibands.

I cant believe that you admitted that.

You are a tory.

By god that takes some admitting.

A little over 2 months at the helm with their little lapdog libs and already the country is in uproar.

They are already the most despised bunch of morons the country has known, and they are only just starting.

You have some balls, by that admission, I will give you that.

Anyway, what about the Labour leader contest. Perhaps they could get Bamber Gascoigne to adjudicate?

Clement Attlee, Ernest Bevin, Michael Foot.

Phony Bliar, Lord Mandelslime, Harridan Harm-man, Tacky Jacqui.

Compare and contrast.

The first group represents men of principles and ideals.

The second group represents a bunch of spivs, shysters, crooks and liars.

I once voted Labour but I will never vote NuLabour.

Ditto! First bunch of men REAL socialists that saw Britain change for the better. The rest................well you pretty much summed it up perfectly.

Oh & you forgot 'the man of the people' the one & only class warrior.....oh he's accepted his place in the Lords!!!!:huh:

Why is it attacking labour? Its a question that needs to be answered by labour for them to move forward. If they dont get this right, they are in trouble. Posters on here such as Titatanic and Wednesday are the people who in my eyes have been over posting anti threads, and many times going to far.

Typical political partisan, convinced that it's only ever their political opponents who act like idiots.

It should cease being the kind of party that is full of people like Lord Mandelslime and Alistair Campbell and back to being one that actually supports the working class, rather than treating them with contempt and instead, sucking up to corporate interests.

Won't happen though.

Yep. Labour under Blair became about grabbing power at any cost rather then serving the common good. That needs to change.

Also, a bit more positivity about their own platform might help. At the last election my MP called herself "The Positive Choice for North East Derbyshire" but her leaflets contained little else but negativity about the other parties. Of course Labour might need some decent policies first before they can start being positive about themselves but there you go.

Yeah he'll probably be following two jags if this quote is anything to go by:-

"Tell the House of Lords to go to hell."

Listening to them right now on BBC Radio 5 in their leaders debate I'm finding myself thinking that Diane Abbot is the one that stands out head and shoulders above the rest. I never imagined I'd say that.

The excuses from the others about how they didn't agree with almost anything done while they were in the cabinet are remarkable. The inevitable conclusion is that they lacked influence and were sidelined (aka useless) or that they are bare faced liars.

If your party believed that, and dont take the lib dems seriously.....you may not get back in for a while.

I voted for the Glib Dims and got a slightly watered down CONservative government.

I will be voting LieBore next time around as Clogg has sold out on most of the election promises that made me vote GlibDim.

Never again!
