wednesday1
'on-line' membership is subject to confermation. If you could actualy join on-line there would be no form of 'veting process' which would mean many of the 'prescibed' organisations could have a field day enlisting their members as members of the labour party, something that the labour party has been very aggressivly attending too in recent years. What you are eagerly grasping at is a press statement that may or may not be true, but we'll find out when they get audited won't we. As I said you can join immediately. If there is a vetting process as such, any delays are minimal.

truconstruct
So how long do you think it takes to check people out? Do you think the central office is capable of doing this? Or do you think the application is passed onto the MEMBERSHIP SECRETARY of each constituancy.

truconstruct
Here's what the Liberals say; But the Liberal Democrats have also recorded an increase in party members since the election. "A spokesman said 1,500 had joined since polling day, including 400 since the formation of the coalition. The party currently has just over 60,000 members. Both Labour and Liberal Democrats spokesmen said they did not have figures on how many members of their respective parties had left since the election."
