Remember, zero is only a concept it does not really exist, hence they are not just messengers, they actually invented it. Muslims did not invent the concept of Zero it was invented in India before Mohamed even made Islam up. Zero went from the Indians to the Persians to the Arabs to Europe in a process which took many centuries & was eventually transmitted to Europe from Arabic Muslims hence the common myth in Europe that Muslims invented the concept of zero. No they used a symbol & everything, atleast they did according to all the academics talking to Melvin Bragg on an "In Our Time" upon the subject of Zero I heard a while back. Whilst in the centuries the zero took to travel from India to Europe via Persians and Arabs (many of whom in that time period became Muslims) did plenty of interesting things with Zero they did not invent the concept.
