pattricia
Can you tell me the best pub lunch in Sheffield,Derbyshire or the surrounding areas ? Ye Derwent, The Yorkshire Bridge and Crosspool Tavern are all good. But does anyone know of any better. Not bothered about price but food must be good. RPG
Devonshire Cat in the city centre offers a refreshing change. Out in the styx I too would be interested to know some decent places.
Deavon
Fox House in the peak district.
Tigs
Chez Lahlou, Commonside. Dingy, cramped atmosphere, but marvelous french food!! Be warned though - do not order a starter (tempting as the choices are - frog's legs in a gorgeous sauce etc!). They bring you complimentary veg dips, french pastry bread and bbq'ed chicken, so you are stuffed before the main course!

JA5E
Yorkshire Bridge is nice, but for the further couple of miles, I would recommend The Castle Inn situated bang in the centre of Castleton.
neeeeeeeeeek
Fox house is just a chain and the food proves it! Monsel Head is probably the best I know of out in the peaks. Very nice food, good choice, not overpriced.
sheff_minx
Try the Cross Keys in Chapel Milton (between Chinley and Chapel-en-le-Frith). Excellent home-cooked food, good value, and lovely staff. It's about a 45 min drive though and is only open for lunch on Sundays though. PM me if you want more info.
