Doctor D doesn’t really need an introduction being part of both The Orb Dj’ing team 3 Musketeers with Dr Alex Paterson and 808 Dj crew The Spinmasters. Known as the 'Surgeon of Sound' he earned this nickname because of the way he manipulates sound and takes you on a journey, from sometimes a chilled African beat to the funkiest house music, the rarest grooves to the sweetest soul. His story reflects the story of music in Manchester from the late 70s till the present time.

Doctor D started out as a soul DJ at a famous Manchester club "The Reno". Currently resident at Summer Dream, One Tree Island and Soul Child in Manchester, he also finds time to present his weekly Soul Club show on Peace FM. His artistic and skilful Dj’ing mean he has not restricted himself to a particular genre and as styles have changed he has used this to push the musical boundaries.
