BudLover
The numbers of greenfly (and others of this type of insect) are actually way down on the past few years.....I caught a radio article about them on the way home from work the other night. It is a natural cycle.........happens every year:rolleyes:

In Uppers
Are you just trying to get your thread count up? Really? You post so many completely pointless threads it's absolutely ridiculous. I think your post was much more pointless Let's face it, you had no need to even read the thread let alone reply:loopy:

Bonjon
Well touch wood, they have left my fruit trees and bushes alone upto now, and the tomatoes seem free of them too. Roll on the ladybugs.
algy
There are more about than usual, apparently there's a shortage of ladybirds. The ladybirds we see at this time of year have usually overwintered, so maybe fewer of them survived the prolonged low temperatures we've had. As stevie said, next we'll have a plague of ladybirds as the numbers catch up!

Dawes54
I've seen loads of people mentioning this plague of greenflies on Facebook and some people have even joined Facebook groups about greenflies being everywhere. I haven't seen a single one, I think they're all making it up... any reason to form a new Facebook group. Idiots! i am in the house with a pot on my leg and i have seen them through the window you must walk about with your eyes shut
