Touchwood
My partner is a goth and I'd like to get some information on things going on locally that might interest him. We rarely go out and I'd like to be able to convince him that there's something going on that he might enjoy. Any suggestions?

jake
If he's of a certain age - he might be interested in Anne-Marie who's playing at the Academy on 12th Nov with what is basically Skeletal Family playing Skellies & Ghost Dance tunes. First sat of each month corp has a goth night called Syn http://www.corporation.org.uk/night/4/Saturday#Syn+-+1st+Saturday+of+the+month

gularscute
In my day we were happy to drape ourselves over gravestones in an overgrown cemetary and quote Shelley at each other. Well, not happy as such...
Tyranna
There's loads of Goth things going on in Sheffield and nearby; the Nelson at Furnival Gate is just one of many decent pubs; plenty of Goth oriented gigs at The Grapes, Boardwalk, etc. also clubs like Corporation, The Harley, DQ, which have a greater or lesser amount of Goth nights. Up at the University on Western Bank, there's SYNTHETIC every 3 months (next one in the autumn), and a number of other more regular clubs... For Goths in Rotherham, there's SNAFU which has live gigs on certain nights.
