mogwai84
I've got the same problem. Live down Eccy Road but think everywhere will be rammed. Tempted to head back to my old local, The Riverside.
BarS1
We've got plenty of TV's and room to sit for The World Cup, and a TV in the beer garden if you don't fancy sitting inside and missing the sun!
Thewestend
Our pub will be a good place to watch the games, we have a large projector and large plasma screen, plus it should be busy without being too crowded as we're not typically known for being a football pub, see our face book group to see whats happening. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?sk=lf#!/group.php?gid=147943526937&ref=ts Regards The West End
bendyman
Being one of the few people without access to a TV does anyone know of a good pub to watch the World cup from? I'd prefer somewhere that doesn't get too overcrowded. buy a TV tight one
HarleyLive
World Cup at The Wick at Both Ends We can’t compete in the Big Screen and HD war, so we’ve decided to switch tactics and go hell for leather on comfort and quality. We’ll have a TV in every seating area, table service, some cracking drinks offers and a special football friendly food menu. We will show every England match with volume, and if you are interested in other matches, watch away with the volume off. If you want to guarantee a table for your group, give us a call on 0114 2723039
millhouses24
Anyone know anywhere in the city centre that'll be a bit more old woman's pub rather than a club place? Pretty certain I'll be on my own this Saturday so don't want to go somewhere full of massive groups. Normally do Walkabout for the Premier League (oh the shame ) but fancy somewhere different. HotPhil
The Roxy are doing free entry and showing the match. Need to be there an hour before kickoff mind (I guess so they can maximise their bar profits). Not sure how "old woman" it will be, but I'm hoping it won't be too raucous! And hopefully the bouncers will stop any idiotic behaviour (bound to be a few who've been out drinking all day I reckon). I will be wearing clothes I don't mind getting covered in beer though.... Vine
Hello there, you are not too far from us at The Vine Inn up on Cemetery Road. We have only just installed 3 TV's and a projector and are not well known for showing the football so I do not think we will be to busy. If the sun is shining you can always enjoy our beer garden at half time!
