Wildcat
There is the £6.4 billion cut to Corporation Tax? http://www.ucu.org.uk/index.cfm?articleid=4636 After all Corporations avoid £120 billion in taxes already, so letting them off with another £6.4 billion in taxation won't make much difference. Everyone knows how successful the trickle down effect is and so subsidising tax evaders is a clever use of our money, we should afterall be grateful for the crumbs off their table, even if we have paid for the cake they are eating. Tony
They might be crumbs to you but they are jobs and a family life to others. I'd rather have business distributing money directly than through endless government sand filters.
Wildcat
SureStart Protected Any comment from those Labour supporters on here who've been spouting off for the past few months that the Tories would axe SureStart? This year. That is not a great deal of protection.

I'd rather have business distributing money directly than through endless government sand filters. Since when have businesses ever directly distributed money to anyone apart from their shareholders? the state distributes wealth much more directly and can target it to the people and areas that need it the most.... like perhaps our automobile industry that is having is billion pound subsidy slashed. Something that will be destroying jobs and livelihoods at the same time as destroying the industries we need to be producing goods to get us out of this recession. Besides which, we already have the lowest Corporation tax in the G7 apart from Italy. There is no sense in cutting it further.

I1L2T3
Just hope they will cut funding to things like A4E and other non esential employment agencies thats funded by the tax payer. Maybe Cameron's big society will see more organisations like A4E. It fits perfectly.
