Asaw
One of my relations moved there about 20 yrs ago to Burnesson. Rubbish place on the gulf stream rained solid for the 4 days out of 5 all traffic stops when the coaches get off the ferry to go to Iona. Thats on single track roads. Then there's the children of the dammed on the farm near the Ferry don't seem to have seen people before. Don't know about midges rain kept them down. Never go back never want to go back, they only lived there about 5-6 yrs.
chimay
I have to say that when 4 of us went to the west coast of Scotland last July the midges never bothered me but they gorged themselves on my companions. Apparently midges don't like bad blood and I'm bad through and through..............
Number Six
A lot of places up there sell Avon Skin So Soft moisturiser - smells a bit of old lady, but does make your skin soft, and the midges hate it.
