Insurance Cover- Volcanic Ash

Can anyone tell me of any travel insurance company that will include cover for the volcanic ash problem. Thanks a lot.

I would think that most insurance companies would consider it as an act of god and probably wouldn't be willing to cover it. You may find someone willing but it will probbly be expensive.

Its now been excluded from travel insurance. I've made enquiries as we go away soon. My insurance have told me that i can claim if the flight is delayed (as per usual) but it doesn't add up to much. Travel company still has a responsibility to take care of you if delayed on the return trip (again there is a minimum standard and only applys to european airlines). I have also paid for hol on card for further protection.

Hi Donuticus, Just to say thanks for the reply.

Its a very grey area at the moment .Some Insurers call it an act of god,others will only insure if its a catastrophy.
