They bought a £30,000 house on a mortgage, which I can't be bothered to work out but let's say total repayments would be around £70,000.

 

He contributes £38,000 to the partnership and builds an extension which increased the value by 50%(ish)

 

Isn't he entitled to half?

The facts that the judge will have considered before the verdict. I've no reason to assume his or her reasoning is unsound. Do you?

 

Sound reasoning .
