'Sex Worker' not 'Prostitute', PC gone mad

Recommended Posts

The only other thing you can call a bald man, would be 'hairless'? :suspect:

Cue ball? :D

At primary school lunch breaks we used to climb to the top of a fence and sing to our bald dinnerman;

"Hey you over there!

What's it like to have no hair!

Is it hot or is it cold!

I don't know cus I'm not bald!"

Not very PC of us was it? :hihi:

But were they whores first or drug addicts? Should they stay that way? Or should we as a society do something to help them?

They decided to take the drugs knowing they are addictive.

Why should we as a society do something to help them out of a problem that they got themselves into.

They only have themselves to blame.

If they choose to stay on the drugs and do nothing to get off them and have to work the streets to pay for them then it is their problem and not society's problem.

Society should help no one unless they are willing to do everything in their power to help themselves.

Agree 100%

Drug addiction should in most cases be termed as a 'Self Inflicted Injury'. When we were posted overseas to a hot climate we were told that if we got sunburn or sunstroke that made us unavailable for duty we would be put on a charge due to causing a 'Self Inflicted Injury'.

the same applies to drug addicts.

More acceptable to who, the PC brigade who have to re-title everything.

The family and friends of the victims. I have made that point enough times, it reflects badly on your intelligence that you fail to understand.

These people are seriuosly contributuing to their own downfall by taking part in a very risky occupation so to say that they are not responsible for what happens to them is very naive.

So bearing in mind the context you are saying they are responsible for being murdered. :help:

What was it people were saying about an underlying current of mysogeny to this thread.

Or Follicly Challenged = the PC numpty version

Or in the 60s they tried 'Refuse Disposal Officers'.:loopy:

The first one was always intended as a joke comment! And the second one? Jeeze, you've have to go back to the 60s to find an example ... that's nearly 50years ago! :hihi:

Unfortunately it is not always that easy, the addicts need to realise they have a problem before they can seek help and alot of the time they just cannot accept that it is a problem, hence a vicious circle ensues.

And because society suffers, society has a role in preventing and helping people in those circumstances.

definately. It is one of the hardest things to watch as someone destroys their life without realising that they are destroying other peoples lives too.

Civilised society has a duty to all its citizens and people turn to alcohol and drugs for all manner of different reasons.

There is ample evidence which suggests that a lot of people use drugs, alcohol included, to escape their mental health problems that they are having. In essence they are self medicating with the only drugs that they feel that they can get their hands on, and love it or hate it, drugs like heroin and alcohol do make you forget your problems in the short term.
