They've taken an ancient religion and twisted it to suit their own evil ends brainwashing people into believing that non Muslims are their natural enemies and unfortunately too many gullible people have fallen for this. The Muslim world has to learn that all West is not their enemy and the West has to appreciate all Muslims are not their enemy either. Most of the extremism breeds from low educational achievement. That applies to the Western extremists as well as the Muslim extremists. Education standards in most of the Islamic world is well below what it needs to be and the masses are easily manipulated by powers that be. To see the truth my friend we need to move away from personal emotional prejudices and see that all killing is wrong and a tragedy for the loved ones no matter what religion they are. Both examples that have been given have a political and not religious. The lazy terms of mad mullah and jihadists and brainwashed are used in the propaganda to dehumanise people so that it becomes easier to justify action against innocents as under a cover of attacking the Jihadists and the extremists or whatever. The brainwashed are those who portray a whole people as having some sort of dificiency because they have adopted a certain value system in life. The OP is not asking to forget 9/11 or anything else but to also not to forget the killings mentioned in the OP, so why the comparisons to 9/11? Is that somehow a revenge for 9/11?
