Residential Parking

Recommended Posts

I live on a road where 99% of the houses have drives but not everyone uses them. I have 3 cars, 2 on the drive and one on the road which I park outside my house. However there are some people on the road who need to park more than one car on the road which interferes with everyone else. Now I know that the road outside my house is a public road but surely people ought to limit their parking to "their own patch".

I'm not a fan of paved-over front gardens but surely displacing your neighbours because you make no parking provision isn't fair/neighbourly.

On the subject of parking, why is it that more and more people think that the grass verges or pavements are for parking on. If your car doesn't fit on your drive/outside your house then surely you should question whether you need to rent somewhere to put it or move house ?
