Longcol
Whoever won the election would have had to make cuts - frankly if the figure of £6 billion is correct (given HMG spends over £600 billion pa) it doesn't make a great deal of difference when it starts - probably the sooner the better - can't see that amount causing a "double dip" recession. What does concern me is that the economic situation could let all sorts get through unnoticed. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2010/may/30/niall-ferguson-school-curriculum-role
Keith Rich
if im honest , i would give my left arm to have a PM like Thatcher , but sadly no present leader comes anywhere near the great lady. if she was in charge now ,she would have crushed the unite union , who are holding BA to ransom , just like she crushed Scargill and his cronies in the 80`s. ive never been a lover of union`s ,and i believe ALL unions should be made illegal and banned in this day and age . in this current climate ,any one who has a job should thank themselves lucky , not try and hld their employer to ransom . I could't disagree more. Its time we had much stronger unions. I beleive we will see the rise of the unions in the next few years now that Labour is no longer in office. We can't let the rich and powerful walk all over us.

See R v Hancock & Shankland 1986 (innocent taxi driver killed by striking miners after throwing concrete blocks from a bridge) This person (JUDGE IAN TRIGGER) seems to be very confused. He obviously knows nothing at all about what he calls Left Wing. The whole idea of the Left Wing and so called Do Gooders is to look after others. This is what Socialism is all about. (Do Gooders means doing good to others) This is in complete contrast to Capitalism which puts money first and people second

This was when Gary Newlove went out to stop feral youths throwing stones at his car & they kicked him to death. Where was the good to others there then...I'm lost? A wife & kids lost their HUSBAND / DAD FFS! Remember that? Another needless loss of life....what he was getting at is that we need to get tough will feral gangs & stop feeling sorry for them as they go on the rob & then spend their ill gotten gains on dope! You seem to be in favour with a political policy that leads to death of innocent people? Yet again as highlighted in post #26 the rule of law must overcome the rule of the mob! Vague_Boy
Looks like they've caved in over CGT. Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith signalled a dramatic climbdown by saying the Chancellor will 'take the sting out of' the tax rise. George Osborne and Prime Minister David Cameron are under growing pressure from senior Tories to water down Liberal Democrat plans to raise CGT from 18 per cent to match the 40 and 50 per cent income tax rates. Critics are furious the tax will hit middle-class savers who have invested in second homes and shares to give themselves a retirement nest egg. LINK Yes, got to protect those poor second home owners who don't know where their next chaise lounge is coming from. The economy has to be rebalanced but big cojones are needed to do it against some powerful self interested lobbies. Looks like The Boy David doesn't have them. Looks like The Boy David doesn't have them. let's see what's proposed before we get too over excited equalising the cgt rate with the tax rate will close one of the more obvious tax minimisation routes but it will also punish those who take risks by starting a business, so some sort of adjustment for them was always going to be necessary it will also punish those who have based their retirement plans on a low cgt rate, those close to retirement will either need some sort of relief or have to rely more on state help when retired - either way the government pays. those further away from retirement probably don't need help as they have time to adjust their plans

The point I am making is that that Left wing socialism puts people first. Do gooders help others. Capitalism is a dog eat dog society where the rich and powerful trample over the rest of us to further their own ends. I can only sympathise with anyone who comes up against such a ill informed wooly thinking judge as the one on your signiture. He is saying stop doing good to others and turn to capitalism instead...weird.
