Only in the same way that all cars "function the same" by moving from A to B. There are vast differences in how they achieve it.

 

Brains are infinitely more complex, and infinitely more varied, than cars; to claim that "they're all the same" is frankly ludicrous. They're certainly different enough to explain quite comfortably why people can have different thoughts and opinions.
