cutie23
If someone is sharing a room with a friend in a new house and not charging rent but will definitely be contributing to bills is this still sub letting?
cgksheff
In simple terms that you have given to us ... No. If there are conditions in the contract/lease with regard to sharing/additional occupancy, there may be other points of view to consider. ukstudent
You definately need to read the terms of the tenancy very carefully.
Evei
I would make sure the landlord knows. When I was a student I had a mate who brought her boyfriends along with them it was aggreed with the landlord so all above board. She did annoy other people in the house by saying he only had to pay 1/2 the portion of the bills though as he shared a room with her. He was the one sat at home all day when everyone else was at university with the heating on and the tv going..... she annoyed a lot of people
