Some hope on the Horizon perhaps ?

:)

It does look hopeful.

Apple is perhaps an easy target, because their brand name is based on quality and being associated with a "suicide factory" is the last thing they would want.

There is another ongoing IT protest, against a factory making Touchscreens for Samsung, LG, HTC and Google for using child labour and busting the trade union that was set up.

the cheaper we can get goods the better

On the whole most people dont give a rats ass, they care more about the fact that it doesn't support Flash.

I am all right jack, huh

I guess you won't mind then when you are made redundant because someone somewhere else is doing your job on half the salary working days twice as long as you are. Why should we care, so long as we are all right.

We're all culpable.

Has anyone checked the working conditions in the hundreds of thousands (yes) of nameless factories in the far east, where all the components of our computers, phones, consumer electrical and consumer durable goods, toys, cheap tat etc etc are made? What about all our flat-pack furniture? Clothes?

We're all culpable - there is no escape, no moral high ground left.

This idea that singling out Apple will significantly improve working conditions is sweet, but misguided.
