Bloomdido
If you think our roads are bad, have a look at this. I thought it was photoshopped at first. That is going to need a lot of asphalt.
rubydazzler
Imagine being happily sitting at home and the earth opening up and swallowing your house! How terrifying, and it's not the first time it's happened there recently, apparently. It's even scarier than the sinkhole at Ladybower, which is scary enough when it's full, never mind when it's empty ...

AJ sheffield
Imagine being happily sitting at home and the earth opening up and swallowing your house! How terrifying, and it's not the first time it's happened there recently, apparently. It's even scarier than the sinkhole at Ladybower, which is scary enough when it's full, never mind when it's empty ... I once saw two little boys sliding round the ice that had formed around the 2nd and 3rd ring from the actual hole in the middle of the sink hole next to the road whilst their dad stood and watched on...it was insane. Amaranthus
Is it bad that the first thought that came to mind was 'jumping down there would be a great way to commit suicide'?
Grissom
Is that for real?????? Yup You can see more sewer-related sinkholes on this page, including the one in 2007 in Guatemala which killed 3 people and took out 12 homes (unfortunately the authorities were too late with their prevention plans) http://www.sewerhistory.org/grfx/misc/disaster.htm These guys were a bit brave I think, I wouldnt stand so close to a 330 foot hole even with a bit of rope (turned out not to be that deep later on) http://www.sewerhistory.org/images/mi/mid/2007_Guatemala01.jpg
