dawny1970
indeed, and the two parties will be the lib dems and the conservatives with labour nowhere to be seen Hope so as i for 1 am mightily fed up of Labour getting in, spending every last penny that the conservatives have built up, helping the rest of the world as well as themselves and then when people finally figure out whats happened, we get a proper government in to sort the mess out As i said before, this all happened in the 70's with Labour, and guess what, as soon as they get back in, what do they do, exactly the bl**dy same again!!!! artisan
indeed, and the two parties will be the lib dems and the conservatives with labour nowhere to be seen The Lib Dems no longer exist. They have been eaten up by the smooth chatter of the New Tories under David Cameron. Dont be so hasty to write off the Labour party, as it could be our downfall I work in the Yorkshire heartlands, the old mining areas. People here would rather cut their hands off than vote Tory. What they would do, however, if no Labour Party existed, would be vote BNP. And wouldn't that be fine and dandy eh?

dawny1970
Well if people enjoyed austerity measures so much how come Labour were able to get elected at all? Probably because they didn't dream of the fact that they would do exactly the same again!!, look at the note at the treasury, "sorry, we spent all the money, there is nothing left". Says it all really, the conservatives build up the cash in the coffers, then Labour get back in and are like kids at the sweetshop, and so the cycle starts again, notice the pattern yet? Mister M
Why is it that every time Labour get into power for a prolonged time, they spend like mad, get the country into massive debt and then the following goverment has to come in and sort the mess out??. Look at what Maggie did after 1979, massive spending cuts to cut the deficit that Labour had built up in the 70's, crap early 80's and then we had a long time of prolonged wealth. 1997 all the spending starts again, labour loose this year and leave a note saying that they have spent the lot Now the cycle is starting again with the emergency budget on June 22nd grrrr There weren't massive spending cuts after 1979. Social Security, Health, Home Office spending all went up in the Thatcher years.
upinwath
What's next is a dose of kicking out Labour waste. Have a look at what the new logo Rotherham council dreamed up cost and get an idea what rubbish should go first. The logo itself was made in house but they had a team of highly expensive ***** to dream it up while being paid silly money per year and of course they had to resign everything. After that massive waste of cash came the headed paper. The old one was a single colour easy to print cheap job. The new one was three colours and a lot more expensive. Of course it was all tossed out after a few years for the "2010" logo. Guess what came next with the signs and paperwork. Tory cuts? No, just dumping the sewage. taxman
taxman, he's a government employee and his job is under threat 'fraid not......who else would collect taxes for the Government? People have a tendency not to want to pay them voluntarily.
