medusa
As long as it gets there, I don't mind what time of day it arrives.
taxman
I'm just happy that Adam got a decent pay-off. Gorr bless 'im. Job cutting scumbag hard working executive gets £3.5million pay off whilst service goes down the pan is rationalised.
horribleblob
For a lot of self-employed people, and those who work from home, it matters.
vwkittie
Where is the 'don't care' option? I'm at work all day, and all business of any importance is carried out online anyway so what time of day the mail comes is of no consequence to me.
anywebsite
For the business I want the post first thing in the morning & that's when it usually comes. Although it's less important nowadays, as obviously we conduct most of our business online. At home its usually after 3pm anyway, I've never known it to come before I've set off for work, obviously that'd be ideal. Parcels always seem to be before 8am, which is annoying on a Saturday. The Royal Mail is in trouble, their service does need to be made more profitable. I don't want to see it slide any more than it already has, but it's inevitable. It doesn't really matter if my normal post is 3pm or 5pm.
suzyoo
But isn't that the point? Hence the poll option: What do you prefer time wise: "Old times-when post was on your table for breaky" When I worked delivering mail, I was back at the sorting office by 8.00 ready to sort the second delivery, having delivered the first by 7.30am well before most folk went to work. so what was your starting and finishing times? Rupert_Baehr
When I was a postie (long time ago) start time was about 5am, finish time was 2pm - With an hour off for lunch, but (in my day) if you didn't finish by 2, you could be expected to work an hour 'gratis' - then we went on overtime. horribleblob
so what was your starting and finishing times? Long time ago now, but it was something like 5 while 1, ie 8 hours but with a breakfast break included.
