Can't imagine what they'd put there, probably even more shops competing with those with those on top of Southey Hill, Buchanan and Wadsley Bridge areas ... or flats

This was one amazing cinema way ahead in design, both inside and out, and it should have been listed! did Sheffield ever realise what it had? one of the most beautiful and opulent cinemas in the country. one which you would expect to find in the west end of London not in Parsons cross. If I was millionare I would rebuild it as it was .I have never been in a better cinema in my life and I am a projectionist and have worked in lots of cinemas.and this was the very best!

why didn't the people of Sheffield save it? it was a one of a kind one of if not the best small cinema in the country! the interior decor was to die for and very opulent, you felt as if you were in a different era,it was to good for parsons cross and NOT appreciated.

Mr McDonald the manager/owner lived in Hollywood usa for a long time before building his dream cinema, the influences of |Hollywood can obviously seen only the placement was an obvious mistake if this had been in London it would still be there, a listed building. but being where it was, it was seen as an eyesore.people of little vision called for it to be pulled down not knowing what a jewel they had.Which if today it had been restored would be visited by cinema buffs the world over top see one of the best small cinemas ever built!
