Why are some unemployed people fat?

Well that's another thread topic, isn't it, Happyhippy...or are we just kind of going to avoid the answer to the question by making comparisons?

 

Not at all. I thought I'd broaden it to include all sorts of other people, unless you just wanted to dig at the unemployed who, statistically, overwhelmingly, won't be fat.

You misunderstand me. My question is not: 'why are all unemployed people fat?'

 

My question is: 'why are some unemployed people fat?'

 

For all the same reasons some employed people are fat.

 

And my confusion is, how bad can times be when you are plump?

Healthy food is far more expensive than cheap food. Take a look at the fat and sugar content in 'Value' food and you'll understand.

Hmmmm....good wholesome food is cheap and plentiful. It is not often that I go food shopping, but I walked around the outside market last week and enjoyed the novelty of it. I got a whole carrier bagful of really fresh fruit and veg for under £4. A 20 pack of cigarettes costs £6.
