alex3659
The takeaway curries at the Asda handsworth are better than any takeaway Indians I know. How come Asda can get it right when the others can't?
kungfugerbil
You need to try a different curryhouse! Altho supermarket ones can actually be pretty decent these days. For me though the sauces are a little too stodgy in general and they lack the super freshness of herbs and spices you get from a proper one. Not terribly wide range of stuff either. They're not a bad option tho when you get in battered and it's the only thing in the fridge!

Pug206
I love the asda take away curries. But i dont think they beat a good old curry from the local indian takeway.

I have 4 Indian takeaways within a mile of my house and have never had a decent one yet.
GordonBennet
People can get very elitist about curries, but the ones we eat over here are tailored to UK tastes, so why shouldn't people say they prefer a supermarket curry to a restaurant one? It's what it tastes like that counts, not the aunthenticity!
Nutronic
For a supermarket I agree that ASDA seem to be the best. I have never tried the ones in the bag though so not sure what they are like but I have had many of the ones in containers that you can freeze.
